Modified Sine Wave Inverter:

Modified sine wave inverter, or quasi-sine wave inverter, works with most of standard appliances. Based on simple but older technology, typical modified sine wave inverter can be applied to simple power system without any delicate electronics or audio equipment. In some cases, your equipment may run hotter with modified sine wave inverter, which may also bring out potential in damaging your device in a long run.

Pure Sine Wave Inverter:

Compared to modified sine wave inverter, pure sine wave inverter produces much more efficient power and far less interference ensuring your equipment to work at its full capacity. Pure sine wave inverter is generally preferred for sensitive electronics that require more efficient power and protection, while offers great versatility than modified sine wave model.

Pure sine wave has the following advantages compared to modified sine wave in applications:

b) Pure sine wave ensures inductive loads in electronics to run quieter, faster, cooler, and smoother.

1.Firstly, Size the Right Power Output.
Inverters will be rated by a wattage value. According to this code, if there were 1000 Watt air conditioning and 800 Watt fridge; These electronics would be counted as 1800 Watts then require an inverter over 1800W. 2.Secondly, Check your Battery Voltage.
The next step is to check the DC voltage rating of the inverter for a compatible battery bank. For example, an inverter with 12V DC input can works with a 12V battery bank.

3.Thirdly, Keep a Mind on the Installation Space.
Sizing the place where you design to install the inverter, and checking for good ventilation and no fire hazards.

CHARGER

The DC to DC battery charger(link) is functional to charge batteries using the power of your generator or vehicle's alternator. When you are driving, you can use the charger to charge your off-grid battery (as secondary battery or house battery) with your operating battery (as primary battery or starter battery) connected to the generator/alternator. To put it short, you can charge both batteries while driving. That is why the charger is commonly installed between the generator/alternator and both starter battery & the house battery on the system. In a regular RV system, the generator/alternator ensures stable power supply to the starter battery, and the charger helps to use excess DC power from generator to supply the house battery through the starer battery.

When you are driving, your RV alternator is charging your starter battery, and the alternator itself is also charging your house batteries along with the starter battery. To charge the house battery without connecting to the starer battery, you can install the charger then wire it into the starter battery. After the installation, you can place the third wire going to the ignition. By this method, it will work but only when the vehicle is running.

The selection of the A rating for a battery charger depends on the capacity of your battery and charging speed requirements. Generally, the output current of the charger should be around 10% to 20% of the battery capacity, so that the charger can fully charge the battery in an appropriate amount of time.

For example, if your battery capacity is 100Ah, it is best to choose a charger with a rating of around 10A. If you need a faster charging speed, you can choose a slightly larger charger, but do not choose a charger that is too large, as it may place an excessive burden on the battery and affect its lifespan.

Good value, nice unit,

I got this for my camper solar system, I just need it to charge batteries with and run my blender, it seems to work pretty good, it has the headroom to do all three at once. It comes with 4gauge leads for connecting to the battery, which in my case worked out perfect. It comes with a remote for if you install it hidden away somewhere.

It works!

If you are trying to do anything that requires lots of power I would recommend going to the 1000w. Luckily I had a second smaller 20v battery charger otherwise I would have to choose between charging 18v or 20v batteries.

better than I expected

Build quality was better than I expected. Only mark off is that the fan is loud. For my use the cord length was perfect, not too much wire to stuff somewhere. That being said, it is ~2ft cord. Perfect for plugging in my work laptop while on the job site.

Decent amount of power, decent price

Works fine for my application - light use in a garden running chargers and small power tools. Knocked off a star because the remote isn't waterproof - my charge converter, etc, are all in a waterproof cabinet in a corner, and it would have been nice to bring the remote swith to a more convenient location.
